Fish, Blood & Bone Fertiliser
Available in 500g 1000g 2000g
Fish, Blood & Bone Fertiliser is a slow release fertilizer, it strengthens garden plants, lawns, fruits and vegetables, but also improves the soil. It is important to apply fertilizer when plants need it, when there is too much fertilizer in the soil, plants will not use it and valuable fertilizer will drain or flush away. Soil bacteria use certain fertilizers, in particular fishmeal, for their own growth and well-being, which promotes the growth of microbes in the early season.
Uses:
- Before planting or sowing: Apply 140g / m² and lightly fork or rake the soil
- As a top dressing: Apply 70 g / m² around the plants and slightly open the soil
It is best to use a spreader during application, making sure that the mixture is evenly and thinly spread. Any spills will burn your lawn and you'll need to brush it, spread it, and water it thoroughly if you overdose.
Fish meal contains a large amount of nitrogen, which is absorbed by the plant roots through mineralization as a slow-release fertilizer.
It is mainly used for:
- For planting trees, hedges, shrubs, potted plants, perennials and bulbs.
- As a fertilizer for lawns.
- As a surface fertilizer around garden plants.
- For plants in pots, containers and window boxes.
- For growing fruit and vegetables.
- For the activation of bacteria in the compost heap.
- For mixing with potting compost, if it does not contain fertilizer.
