Copper Sulphate and Lime Mixture - Bordeaux Mixture

You will receive:
50g of Copper Sulphate and 50g of Lime (Pack for 5L)
100g of Copper Sulphate and 100g of Lime (Pack for 10L)
Preparation Steps

Dissolve Copper Sulphate:
- Mix 50g (or 100g) of Copper Sulphate in 2.5 liters (or 5 liters) of water.
- Use a non-metallic container and stir until fully dissolved.

Dissolve Lime:
- In a separate non-metallic container, mix 50g (or 100g) of Lime with 2.5 liters (or 5 liters) of water.
- Stir well to create a smooth lime solution.

Combine the Solutions:
- Slowly add the lime solution to the Copper Sulphate solution while stirring continuously.
- Do not add Copper Sulphate to lime to avoid uneven mixing.
Usage Instructions
- Apply Fresh: Use immediately after preparation. Do not store the mixture.
- Spray: Use a sprayer to evenly apply the mixture to plants.
- Timing: Apply during cool hours (early morning or late evening) and avoid spraying during rain or when the sun is very hot.
Dilution Guide
- For 50g Copper Sulphate + 50g Lime: Makes 5 litres.
- For 100g Copper Sulphate + 100g Lime: Makes 10 litres.
Copper Sulphate and Lime mixture cannot be kept for long periods of time once it has been mixed together - maximum life is 2 days after the preparation.
It cannot be applied in cold or cloudy weather as it will cause phytotoxicity to plants.
The Bordeaux Mixture will act as a fungicide, bactericide and algaecide when mixed properly and applied correctly. It is less toxic to human in comparison to other commercial fungicides. Can be applied to most plants such as tomatoes, potatoes, chilli, ginger ,flowers, fruit and many more however it is not advisable to apply it to apple, maize and some of the dwarf rice varieties.
