Organic Henna Powder

For centuries, henna has been utilized as a traditional hair dye in both Eastern and European cultures.

Henna creates a protective coating around the hair strands, augmenting their thickness and resilience. Serving as a protein treatment, consistent use of henna can promote hair growth, resulting in soft and lustrous hair.

Pure henna exclusively imparts a warm-red tint to the hair. To attain different shades like burgundy, dark brown, or black, henna can be blended with other natural ingredients such as hibiscus, indigo, or amla.

BEFORE APPLICATION:

Pure henna functions as a natural hair coloring agent. It is recommended to wait at least 4 weeks after using chemical dye on your hair before applying henna. Chemical dyes contain metallic salts and other harsh compounds that may interact with henna, resulting in an undesirable color.

HOW TO APPLY:

Always perform a strand test beforehand.

Mix henna powder with tea, coffee, lemon juice, or other acidic liquids until you attain a paste resembling thick yogurt in consistency. Allow the mixture to rest for a few hours in a warm location (overnight is also an option).

Apply the mixture onto clean hair and leave it on for up to 4 hours, depending on your desired outcome. Rinse with warm water. Avoid shampooing for 24 hours as the henna pigment will continue to oxidize, and the color will further develop. If necessary, use conditioner to rinse off the henna powder from your hair.

For achieving black or various shades of brown naturally, incorporate indigo powder into the henna mixture or apply a pure indigo mixture onto your hair immediately after applying henna.
