Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is an organic chemical compound that belongs to the group of sulfoxides and is a natural substance derived from wood pulp. It is mainly used as a chemical and analytical reagent as well as a natural solvent.

DMSO maintains different states depending on the temperature -  below 18.2 ° C it becomes a crystallized (solid) form and above this temperature it turns into a liquid. 

During the colder weather, pure DMSO may arrive frozen or may freeze if stored in cool place. To thaw is best to wait until the DMSO warms or immerse bottle in warm water.
