The most versatile and easily applied clay, White Kaolin is commonly found in standard skincare preparations and cosmetics. Being a very fine and light clay, it has natural absorbency properties. It is found in virtually all powdered and dry cosmetics and most wet cosmetics, including soaps, scrubs, poultices, deodorants, facial powders and masks. Particle size is 3 microns.

Used in ceramics, bricks, paint, plastics, rubber, sealants, adhesives, coated paper, as alight diffusing material in white incandescent light bulbs. The largest and most common use is in thepaper industry. It is the main ingredient in creating "glossy" paper. In the paint industry it is added to actas an extender of titanium dioxide reducing costs and improving rheology. Kaolin is used as a rawmaterial in the manufacture of the pigment ultramarine blue.
