Magnetite is as an important iron ore in steel manufacturing.

It is also used as a catalyst in the Haber process for making ammonia, as a pigment for paints and ceramics, and as magnetic micro- and nanoparticles for a variety of processes and materials.

It is a high performance micronized pigment. The particle size is 0.2 microns which has a lower density and higher purity than the naturally sourced material.
