Henna and Indigo Powder Sets

Pure and Organic

Available as 50g 100g 200g and 400g SETS

Henna is cultivated in Sojat, Rajasthan, while indigo is cultivated in the state of Tamil Nadu. Our products boast premium quality organic pure powders, guaranteeing a 100% natural composition. Henna powder is derived from the dried Lawsonia Inermis plant, while indigo powder originates from the dried Indigofera Tinctoria plant. Both powders - Henna and Indigo are free from PPD, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides, as well as chemicals, parabens, and metallic salts.

Henna forms a protective coating around the hair, enhancing its thickness and strength. It serves as a protein treatment and, with regular application, stimulates hair growth, leaving hair feeling soft and appearing shiny.

Pure henna imparts a warm-red hue to the hair. For alternative colours such as burgundy, dark brown, or black, henna can be combined with other natural ingredients like Hibiscus, Indigo, or Amla.

Indigo powder is effective in dyeing hair black or various shades of brown. The resulting shade depends on the henna-to-indigo ratio and the application method. For a black hue, apply indigo mixed with water immediately after henna application. Mixing indigo directly into the henna paste before application yields different shades of brown.

PRIOR TO APPLICATION:

Henna and indigo are natural hair colouring agents. Always use indigo WITH or AFTER henna, as using indigo alone may result in a green or blue tint. If you've recently used chemical dyes, wait at least 4 weeks before using henna and indigo to avoid unwanted reactions with metallic salts and harsh substances present in chemical dyes.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

To apply indigo AFTER henna:

  • Mix henna powder with acidic liquids like tea, coffee, or lemon juice to form a thick yogurt-like paste. Allow the mixture to sit for a few hours in a warm place or overnight.
  • Apply the henna paste to clean hair and leave it on for up to 4 hours, depending on the desired intensity. Rinse with warm water. Avoid shampooing for 24 hours to allow the henna pigment to oxidize and develop fully. Use conditioner if needed to rinse off henna residue.
  • Mix organic indigo powder with water and apply it immediately after rinsing off the henna. Leave it on for 30-60 minutes to achieve the desired colour depth. Rinse with water and conditioner, avoiding shampoo.

To apply indigo TOGETHER with henna:

  • Add indigo powder to the cured henna mixture just before application. Conduct a strand test to determine the required amount of indigo and the duration needed for desired shade development.
  • Rinse with water and conditioner, avoiding shampoo.
